Ain Shams University is globally recognized, and the leading university in Egypt, it is the third Egyptian university which was established in July 1950 under the name of Ibrahim Pasha University, It is recognized by MCI, and many more international professional groups. The university provides education at the undergraduate level, graduate level, and post-graduate level. Ain shams college had some of the faculties and educational institutes, which were later evolved right into a university. The university’s academic structure includes 15 faculties, 1 college, and 2 high institutes with 12 centers and special units. It is an institution of advanced education that trains specialists in numerous fields of knowledge and completes research. It is considered as one of the most prestigious universities in Egypt and a major center of advanced learning and dynamic thinking. The University has formed into a huge scale, a well-managed comprehensive university with good teaching staff. It is one of those universities which is having an advanced system of education, and it trains students with the help of updated education technology of medical study. The university embraces the high-tech methods of practical medicine that empower students to be focused, competitive, and flexible in the world market.
The university has eight campuses in which two of them are next to each other, separated by the main road; all of them are in Greater Cairo. The main campus is in Abbassia, Cairo and it houses the Administration and Management at the Saffron Palace, Science Education Development Center, Central Library, Child Hood Center, and the University City (students’ hostel), in addition to the faculties of Computer Science, Science, Law, and Art. The opposite Campus houses the faculty of commerce, Alsun, pharmaceutical Science and Dentistry.
The Women’s College has its own campus. Faculty of Specific Education, Faculty of Education, and faculty of Agriculture are each on separate campuses in Abassia, Heliopolis, and Shubra El Kheima, respectively.
The university is providing the best infrastructure for its students and the quality facilities like good and spacious hostels, libraries, modern classrooms, etc. Moreover, the university is providing a healthy and friendly environment on the campus for its students. All the study buildings of the university are equipped with well-furnished classrooms, study halls, seminar rooms. The institute has various other activity centers in the campus like gym, separate sports complex, etc. The University believes in the overall development of every student and thus organizes various personality development programs such as Seminars, Debates, Conferences and Student Exchange programs. Apart from personality development programs, the University organizes various sports and cultural events and also encourages students to partake in these activities.
Ain Shams University currently has more than 201,405 students including more than 5,000international students with over 20,000 academic staff. The University is focused on the advancement of knowledge, ensuring high standard teaching and learning experience, creating innovative thinking and skills of analysis to address the challenges of a changing society, and produce better informed and more mentally adaptable graduates well prepared for work in the 21st century. - Candidate must have passed their 10+2 (sr. secondary education) with minimum 50% marks with PCB (physics, chemistry, and biology) from any recognized board.

- Library: - The university has 19 libraries with a collection of 290079 printed books, 125 printed periodicals, 6947 databases (MA and Ph.D. thesis).
- Sports: - The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities on the campus like table tennis, basketball, etc.
- Labs: - The institute has a well-equipped lab in the campus with modern equipment and tools.
- Computer lab: - The institute has a well-equipped computer lab in the campus with the latest computer machines and tools.
- Gym: - The institute has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill.
The university has rented other places to accommodate university students. They have the capacity to accommodate 4,000 students at a time. They are trying to give comfortable accommodation to all the hostel students. Every student has to pay 10 dollars per month for their residence, food (three meals a day), and other facilities. - University distance from Hostel: - All the hostels are near to the university campus.
- Room occupancy info: - The hostels are available in three, five, six, and eight sharing occupancies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement, and budget.
- Basic Amenities: - All the rooms are well-furnished and air-conditioned with all the necessary amenities like a bed, bed sheets, mattress, WIFI internet facility, etc.
- Laundry room info: - Every hostel is having a common laundry room that can be used by every student on that particular floor.
- Kitchen info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common kitchen which can be used by every student of that particular floor. Kitchens are shared with 2-3 electric burners, and microwave, where students can cook their meals whenever they want to do. Moreover, there is a common refrigerator in every kitchen.
- Washroom and Toilet info: - There is a common washroom and a common toilet is there for every two rooms.
- Boy and Girl Division info: - Boys and Girls hostels are separate.
- Security info: - All the hostels are very safe and secure as they have security cameras in every hostel for student safety.
- Indian Mess availability info: - Indian food facility is not available in the hostel.
- Gym info: - There are no Gym facilities in the hostels.
