The establishment of the institute is to imparting medical education leading to a recognized medical degree that was taken as the first and foremost aim of the institute. This college starts functioning from 2008-2009 sessions by the admission of 50 students and the Rajshahi University granted affiliation to the college on 1st Nov 2010.
The Medical and Dental Council of Bangladesh recognized this college on 6th June 2010 and 1st professional exam was held in July 2010 under Rajshahi University which is after completing two years of course studies. At present, the 6th batch is studying in the college. The Rajshahi University and the Ministry of Health are pleased with academic performances and increased their number of seats to 50 to 125.
Recently, the college is having 25000 sq. ft. floor space on each floor in their new 7 storied academic building with adequate parking facilities. All departments are set-up in the building with tutorial classrooms, laboratories, museums, office rooms, libraries, conference rooms, and lecture galleries. The hospital is attached to the college for a tertiary care referral facility and also provides excellent training to students and junior doctors and paramedics. The hospital is 750 bedded and well equipped. It provides quality health care at a reasonable cost to the public and the entire staff of the hospital is very dedicated to excellence and their services.

- Library: - The university has a huge library which is located on the first floor and library has a collection of over 1000 + textbooks of latest additions, references, journals in various subjects, magazines, and newspapers. The college library provides updated information to students and teachers and its reading room can accommodate about 30 students at one time. Students and teachers can issue books from libraries for home. For downloading recent scientific materials, the library also provides an internet connection and it remains open from 8 am to 4 pm except for holidays. Scanner and Xerox machine is also available in the library.
- Sports: - The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities on the campus like table tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming pool, etc.
- Labs: - The institute has a well-equipped lab on the campus with modern equipment and tools.
- Computer lab: - The institute has a well-equipped computer lab on the campus with the latest computer machines and tools.
- Gym: - The institute has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill.
The university has two separate hostels for boys and girls near a college campus with all kind of facilities which includes bed, table, chair, 24-hour water supply, WiFi, electricity, and laundry services. As per students' test and religious issues, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are arranged. On the campus, 3 canteens are there in which one is pure vegetarian. Moreover, common rooms of the hostel having the facility of T.V. with cable connection, and also students get a homely atmosphere for studies within strong regulation monitored by college management.
