COURSE & ELIGIBILITY

Course - MD

Duration - 6 Years

Tuition Fee - EUR 10000-12000 Approx. (per year)

Note: Tuition fee is different for each year of the MD course.

Eligibility Criteria - A candidate must have passed their 10+2 (Sr. secondary education) with a minimum of 60% marks in each subject such as physics, chemistry, and biology from any recognized board.

Language of instruction - English & Latvian

The admission process is based on the marks obtained by the student in 12th std and skype interview which is conducted by the university.

An English proficiency certificate is also required. If you have completed your high school in English medium, in that case, you need to provide a declaration letter from your school.

If you belong to a country where English is the official language, you can use them to prove your proficiency.

The above condition is not applicable to those who are citizens of English-speaking nations such as Australia, The Bahamas, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, St Vincent, and the Grenadines, the United Kingdom, United States of America.

The minimum age of a candidate should be 17 years before 31 December of an academic year.

HOSTEL

University of Latvia (UoL) offers two student hotels for International students “Prima hostel” and ”Reznas student hotel”. Both of them are located in Riga, Reznas street. There is a well-developed public transportation, it takes about 20 minutes to reach city centre, main building of the University of Latvia as well as Old town and Central Railway station.The hostel "PRIMA" is located in a 9 floor building reconstructed in 2006 with capacity of 360 tenants. Rooms available at PRIMA are the size of 10-12m² or 15-17m², where the price depends on the number of beds and tenants living in the room. All over the rooms are combined by 2 with shared WC and shower. Namely, WC and shower are shared by 3 tenants on 6th-8th floor or by 5 tenants on 2nd-5th floor.
Reznas student hotel is located in a 5 floor building. Rooms are the size of 18 m² and are shared with one other tenant. Two shared WC’s, showers and a kitchen available on each floor.
