Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation (VMUF) is a privately supported, co-educational, Catholic university in San Carlos, Pangasinan, Philippines . It was founded in 1958 by Dr. Martin Posadas and Dr. Rosalina Q. Posadas. MBBS degree from VMUF is recognized by MCI, WHO and other professional medical bodies across the world.

VMUF offers courses in the medical and paramedical fields, in liberal and applied arts, sciences, and technical-vocational courses, senior high school, secondary, elementary and pre-school courses. VMUF covers 19 hectares land area in MP Posadas Avenue, San Carlos City, Pangasinan, about 200 km, north of Manila, the capital of the Philippines. The Philippine national games (Palarong Pambansa) was held for the first time in there in 1995.

In 2019, VMUF has been granted autonomous status by the Commission on Higher Education. VMUF was initiated as POSADAS CLINIC in 1951 and was established at Bonifacio St., San Carlos, Pangasinan in an old house in Spanish-type, a residence of a prominent landowner-businessman, one-time Municipal Councilor Don Bernardino Posadas.

And later, it was renamed Posadas Medico-Dental Clinic with a 10-bed capacity, five of which were devoted for charity patients. It had provisions for surgical and X-ray services, considered to be the first in a rural area and the first air-conditioned operating room in those days. The Posadas Medico-Dental Clinic became a 4-storey hospital and was renamed Virgen Milagrosa Hospital in 1957, in honor of the Posadas family patroness, Our Lady of Miraculous Medal.

COURSE & ELIGIBILITY

Candidate must have passed their 10+2 (sr. secondary education) with minimum of 50% marks with PCB (physics, chemistry, and biology) from any recognized board.

Admission: - Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET)

NEET Cut off 2020: - For General Category: - 147 marks, For reserved category: - 113 marks

NMAT Exam Passing with 40 percentile

HOSTEL

The institute has 7 hostels in the campus in which they are providing a well-furnished room in a twin sharing system with an attached bathroom and a kitchen. Some of the other facilities in the hostels are centrally heated rooms, hot water system, gas facilities, electricity and water facilities, etc. The daily meals are coming from the university canteens or cafeteria. Moreover, the students can cook their own food in the hostel kitchen.

University distance from Hostel: - There are only 5 mins of walking distance between the main campus of the university and the hostel.
Room occupancy info: - The hostels are available in only twin sharing occupancies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement, budget, and availability.
Basic Amenities: - All the rooms are well-furnished and centrally air-conditioned with all the necessary amenities like a bed, bed sheets, mattress, study table, etc. Moreover, there is a common study room is there in every hostel.
Laundry room info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common laundry room with 3 to 5 washing machines that can be used by every student on that particular floor.
Kitchen and Bathroom info: - Each room of every hostel is having an attached bathroom and a kitchen.
Boy and Girl Division info: - Boys and girls hostels are not separate but each hostels having separate floors for both boys and girls.
Security info: - All the hostels are very safe and secure as they have security cameras in every hostel for the students safety.
Indian Mess availability info: - Indian mess is not available but student can get the Indian food at the canteen of the hostel and the daily meals for the students are coming from the university canteen or cafeteria.
Gym info: - The university has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill, etc.
