Overview
Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health is a government university and functions under the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Science & Education of Uzbekistan. In 1991, it began its operations as a "medical center" and a few years later it received the status of "Institute" and was finally renamed to Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health. It has become extremely popular among Indian students who wish to study MBBS in Uzbekistan. The main reasons of studying MBBS in Fergana Medical Institute are its low fees, modern campus, top ranking & a huge number of Indian students.
With over 90 years of educational history, Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health stands out as an exceptional medical college for pursuing a degree. GMIPH is associated with several medical institutions across Uzbekistan. It offers higher education in fields such as general medicine, medical pedagogy, preventive medicine, advanced medical care, and others.
Fergana Institute is equipped with the training of specialist-physicians for health care institutions as well as epidemiologist well-being services in the view of Covid-19 Pandemic. The Faculty is dedicated personnel with higher education, qualified in the areas of health care, epidemiologist well-being and public health to further improve the system of professional development of workers, to provide the medical organization with competent specialists, which include primary health care institutions by the order of President.
To train the students there is collaboration with Foreign Medical Higher Education Institutes. Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health also introduces advanced and remote educational technologies in the training of specialists, attracting highly qualified professors. This institute also supports the development of scientific and pedagogical potential, active improvement of pedagogical technologies and teaching methods. Always engage in carrying out innovative,
applied and fundamental scientific research in the area of medical facilities.
Fergana Medical Institute ranks on 8th position (According to online ranking portals) among all medical universities in Uzbekistan. Thousands of students (Uzbeks & foreigners) study at the institute & approx. 150 teachers are engaged in training students across 19 departments. At present, there are more than 350 Indian students studying MBBS in Fergana Medical Institute in English medium. The institute provides education at undergraduate level in general medicine, preventive medicine, nursing, traditional medicine & biomedical engineering.
To bring the medical education of FMIPH to the next level, it has recently launched a new campus loaded with modern medical equipment and features. The campus was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Musaev Behzod Anvarovich (Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan) and Mr. Bozarov Zayrullo Xayitbaevich Hokim (Governor of Fergana city). This new campus will contribute to the mission of FMIPH to create a technologically rich future for medical aspirants.
