Overview
The Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University (KRSU) is a medium-sized, non-profit, co-educational public institution which offers higher education in Medical Sciences and others. The 27 year old University is located in the large city of Bishkek, Republic of Kyrgyzstan, besieged by the range of Tien Shan.
KRSU is officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan and is jointly operated by the Kyrgyz Government and the Government of Russia. It was founded in 1993 under the Warsaw Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.
The college is authorized by the Government of Egypt, affiliated with WHO, MCI, and NMC and recognized By the Higher Supreme Council of Universities. The university is on the top of The Scientific Education Institutions among the private and public universities.
KRSU started with the aim to create the most advanced models of teaching in Undergraduate (MBBS) Medical Education in the entirety of its clinical and Non Clinical branches to exhibit an extraordinary standard of Medical Education in the country. The goal remains to continue to execute the highest standard of teaching and training of individuals in all the fields of Medical Science.
Many foreign students take part every year in the Undergraduate (MBBS) admission at KRSU – Faculty of Medicine and it has allotted 80 seats in MBBS for Indian students. At present, there are 1701 students from more than 20 countries, mostly from Kazakhstan, Russia, India, and Tajikistan. Faculty of Medicine is the most popular among foreign students followed by the Faculty of International Relations and Faculty of Natural & Technical Sciences.
In 2018, students of KRSU received 262 awards at competitions and exhibitions of national and international significance.
Location
The college is located Bishkek, the capital and largest city of Kyrgyzstan, at 6 Chuy Ave, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The beautiful city of Bishkek, serving as The Political, Economic, and Cultural center of the country, is situated in the Chuy Valley at the northern edge of Kyrgyzstan, near the border with Kazakhstan.
