Overview

  Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn Faculty of Medicine, licensed in the field of higher professional education is registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic at Bishkek (capital). This leading State University was established on 25 October 1925 as the Kyrgyz Institute of Education.

  Nestled within the heart of Kyrgyzstan, within the capital city of Bishkek, this leading prestigious educational institution is one of the oldest and the biggest Higher Education establishments in Kyrgyzstan and stands as a beacon of academic excellence.   Recently, Kyrgyz National University commenced its Faculty of Medicine in collaboration with LN University, India and LN Medical College Kyrgyz National University became the primary University in Central Asia to expand a Faculty of Medicine campus in partnership with an Indian University. Today the Kyrgyz National University gives a 5 year MD Physician application using the teaching platform of LN University, Bhopal, India

  The higher educational institution will teach qualified medical specialists for the Kyrgyz Republic as well as other countries throughout the world, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Nigeria, the United States of America, Turkey, and Egypt.  Doctors and medical students are among those that take part in the training. COURSE DETAILS

MBBS

  Kyrgyz National University offers an affordable MBBS fees in Kyrgyzsthan to Indian students who wish to study MBBS abroad.  The process of MBBS admission in KNU can be completed online by submitting scanned document.

Duration

  The total duration of MBBS course in Kyrgyz National University is 5 years + 1 year (Internship in Kyrgyzstan) for Indian students. The 1 year of Clinical Internship or Clinical Rotation is required for working as medical practitioner in Kyrgyzstan or any other country. This entire MBBS course duration fully complies with the latest NMC rules, which require Indian students to pursue 4.5 years course (54 months) + 1 year internship (12 months).

Medium of Instruction

  The medium of instruction in Kyrgyz National University for all Indian students is English. All the Classes, Tests & Exams are conducted in English by highly Experienced Teachers/Professors/Doctors for foreign students. All Medical books by Indian writers are also available In University Library and are often referred during classes. These help the students to be prepared for their FMGE/NEXT in India too during their course of medical education.

Sessions

  There are 2 Academic Sessions for MBBS in Kyrgyz National University in a year i.e. February and September session.  Eligible Students apply by submitting documents online or by visiting our offices.

ELIGIBILITY & ADMISSION PROCESS

Eligibility

  The MBBS eligibility in Kyrgyz National University strictly follows the rules set by NMC for Indian students to study abroad.  All seats are allotted on the basis of MBBS eligibility in KNU and seats availability at the time of application. The exact MBBS eligibility in KNU for admission of Indian students is as below:

  • Students from general category must have 50% marks (PCB) in 12th/Inter/Equivalent, while reserved category students must have 40% marks in the same.
  • The student must have qualified NEET exam in current year or any of the previous 2 years i.e. NEET must be qualified in either 2024/2023/2022.
  • The student must have completed 17 years of age (By 31st December) in the year of application to comply with the MBBS eligibility in Asian Medical Institute.
  • No entrance test or TOEFL /IELTS is required.

Admission Process

  All eligible candidates from India and other countries can apply for MBBS admission in Kyrgyz National University through a simple step-by-step process as shown below:

  • Student submits scans of 10th, 12th Mark Sheets and NEET qualification (2024/2023/2022).
  • Kyrgyz National University issues admission letter on the basis of documents submitted.
  • Student submits the scans of valid passport for issuance of invitation letter from university.
  • Kyrgyz National University issues Invitation Letter for Study Visa & Student's Entry to Kyrgyzstan.
  • Student submits original Mark Sheets, Passport & few additional documents for Visa from Embassy.
  • We assist students in currency exchange for payment on arrival or online fees transfer from India.
  • We assist students in Ticket Booking and plan their departure in groups, so that they travel together.
  • Our Representatives will accompany the group of students from Delhi to Kyrgyzstan by flight and from there to the University Hostel.
  • Our Representative will stay on and arrange for Police Registration which is mandatory and help acquire SIM cards for the students.
  • Our Representative will also help with all formalities of Medical checkup, Visa extension, etc. in Kyrgyzstan.

KNU Infrastructural Facilities

  Kyrgyz National University, with a modular system that is a modern medical training system, offers a wide range of facilities which includes numerous academic and non-academic centers and services to its students which can help them with their studies and co-curricular activities. 

  • The infrastructural facilities include Library, Auditorium, Computer labs, Laboratory, Canteen, Hostel, Play Ground, Gym, Indoor and Outdoor Sports facilities, ATM, Hospital facilities, and much more.
  • The Library of Kyrgyz National University established in 1932 on the idea of the Kyrgyz Pedagogical Institute is considered as one of the biggest libraries in Kyrgyzstan, containing 5000+ books which may help students gain immense knowledge.   In 1941, the library's book stock became 134,000 texts, many acquired from the colleges of Moscow, Leningrad and different main cities of the USSR.
  • In 1951 the library acquired Educational, Medical and Artistic Literature from universities in Odessa, Kiev, Kharkov, Kazakh and Tomsk, in addition to the Academies of Sciences of Armenia, Georgia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. Today, the Library is placed in 8 Educational homes and has 60 employees

KNU Hostel Facilities

  The Hostels for Indian students in Kyrgyz National University offer best Lodging and Mess facilities.  For first-year students, KNU recommends choosing a dormitory option.  Safety and Security of students are ensured through CCTV surveillance System.  Some of the important facts about the Hostel are:

  • Students here have the option of staying in dormitories or renting apartments.
  • Located within the main campus, the Hostels are at a few minutes walking distance from the classrooms in Campus.
  • Students at KNU are able to stay in rooms with two, three, or four beds based on their needs, requirement, budget, and availability. 
  • Boys and girls are accommodated in separate hostels according to their preferences.
  • Senators for Hostel Affairs live in these hostels to assist students with their issues.
  • The first-year students have access to transportation.
  • All the rooms are Well-Furnished and Centrally Air-Conditioned with all the necessary amenities like Study Tables & Chairs, Beds, Mattress, Comforters, Bed-Sheets, Wardrobe, Lamps, etc   Moreover, there is a Common Study Room in every Hostel. 
  • They can also submit application to Hostel administration, if they wish to the change their room or upgrade it.
  • Indian students have to travel out of campus from 3rd year, when they have to attend classes in various Hospitals outside the campus.
  • Apart from Security guards in the Hostel campus, all the Hostels have CCTV Surveillance System & Fire Alarm Safety System installed for the safety of foreigners.
  • Hostel students have access to high-speed Wi-Fi
  • The hostels have common facilities of Kitchens, Laundry, Sports Hall, Reading Hall, Canteen, Wash Room and Toilet (With hot & cold water) within their premises on each floor.  Each room also has a large window for ventilation.
  • Indian mess facility is available in all Hostels of KRSU where they can have Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and afternoon Tea with Snacks.
  • The Indian mess is compulsory for all students in 1st year & they can choose from Vegetarian/Non-Vegetarian meals prepared by Indian Chef.
  • All Indian festivals like Diwali, Holi & Eid are also celebrated among Indian students with enthusiasm every year in Hostel.
  • Annual sports (Mostly Cricket) and cultural events are organized by KRSU for Indian students.
